Our acupuncture services and bodywork — two sides, one clinic.
Walk into Ste 300 and the menu of acupuncture services is deliberately short. Acupuncture anchors everything: sterile, single-use needles placed by licensed practitioners for pain, stress, sleep and women's health — plus facial acupuncture, a needle-based approach to the face. Nothing trendy. Nothing we can't explain in plain English — or in Mandarin, if you prefer.
The other half of the clinic is hands-on bodywork, and it has its own home: massage and bodywork in McLean covers meridian tui na massage, our signature lymphatic drainage, cupping, and gua sha with hot stone. Many patients combine the two — needles for the underlying pattern, hands for the muscle that has been guarding around it.
Each service has its own page with honest pricing, what a session actually feels like, and where the research stands. Already know what you need? Jump straight in. If you don't, start with our acupuncture in McLean overview or browse the conditions we support — from desk-job neck tension to fertility support — and let the condition lead you to the therapy, not the other way around.

Your first visit, step by step.
First time trying acupuncture? Good. Most of our 5,000+ clients started exactly there — curious, a little skeptical, and tired of whatever brought them in. Here is precisely what happens, so nothing on the day is a surprise.
- Book in two minutes. Reserve online or see every booking option — insurance patients, text a photo of your card to 240-715-5939 first so we can run a free benefits check before you arrive.
- Talk before needles. Your practitioner spends the opening part of the 60-minute initial session on history — sleep, digestion, stress, old injuries — plus the classic TCM pulse and tongue assessment.
- The treatment itself. Sterile, single-use needles at selected points, then 20 to 30 minutes of rest under warm light. Expect heaviness or a dull tingling, not pain. Many people fall asleep.
- A plain-language plan. You leave knowing the recommended visit cadence, what it costs, and the honest odds for your situation — never an open-ended commitment.
- Follow-ups that fit a workday. 30-minute follow-ups slot into a lunch hour from Tysons or an after-work stop off the GW Parkway — we're open until 9 PM every night.
New here? The new patients page covers what to wear, how to prepare, and the questions everyone asks but rarely says out loud.

Pairing therapies, without the upsell.
Traditional Chinese Medicine was never a single tool. A practitioner chooses among needles, pressure, heat, and suction the way a chef chooses among knives — by what the job in front of them calls for. Research on combined therapies is thinner than on acupuncture alone, so we frame pairings as comfort and recovery support, not a guarantee of faster results. Here is how we usually start:
Common pairings at a glance
| You're dealing with | Usual starting point | Often paired with |
|---|---|---|
| Desk neck, shoulder knots, low-back tension | Acupuncture series | Cupping therapy or tui na massage |
| Stress, restless sleep, jaw clenching | Acupuncture, calm-focused points | Meridian massage; hot stone warmth |
| Dull skin, fine lines | Facial acupuncture | Facial gua sha |
| Digestion, immunity, seasonal allergies | Acupuncture | Warming hot stone; cupping |
| Athletic recovery, training soreness | Cupping | Acupuncture; hot stone with massage |
The economics are simple: cupping, gua sha, and hot stone are $20 add-ons to any 60-minute massage — and free for members. Your practitioner will tell you when an add-on is worth it and, just as readily, when it isn't.
